Genius Sports stops certain operations in Russia and Belarus

In support of Ukraine, Genius Sports Group has stated that it would halt commercial activities in Russia and Belarus for the time being.

Genius Sports’ primary goal is to protect the safety and well-being of their coworkers, their families, and loved ones in all places at all times.

As the present situation intensifies, over a million people have fled Ukraine. Many iGaming companies have recently ceased operations in Russia and Belarus.

Parimatch Tech announced last week that it would be pulling its franchise from Russia. Parimatch, which was established in Ukraine in 1994, also contributed to a €2.9 million fund commitment to Ukraine.

Entain also announced a $50,000 contribution to support injured or wounded people in the country on their LinkedIn account.

The iGaming industry has also launched the “Choose Love” charity for Ukraine, with a goal of raising $250,000, of which $180,000 has already been donated, including a $25,000 contribution from Betsson Group. Clarion Gaming and Better Collective were also among the ones making donations. The charity’s goal is to assist anybody who has opted to stay in Ukraine and to offer assistance to anyone in need, such as medical care, food, and shelter.
