Interview with Tatiana Negodina – Head of Affiliates at Marathonbet

AffPapa recently interviewed Tatiana Negodina, the Head of Affiliates at Marathonbet, who discussed their program’s adaptability, localized approach, potential future developments, and much more.

Yeva: You’ve been leading the affiliate program at Marathonbet, which has been around since 1997. What keeps the brand relevant for affiliates after all these years, and what excites you the most about the work you do?

The longevity and success of Marathonbet’s affiliate program stem from our commitment to adaptability and our focus on building strong relationships. We’ve always put the needs of our affiliates and players first, whether it’s through competitive commissions, constant innovation, or by providing the tools they need to succeed. What excites me most is seeing our affiliates grow with us and being part of an evolving industry where we continuously improve together.

Yeva: Marathonbet operates in so many markets and languages. How do you manage to keep the affiliate program flexible enough to fit such a wide variety of regions?

Flexibility is at the heart of what we do. We understand that every region has its own nuances, so we take a localized approach—offering different promotions, content, and even payment methods based on the region. We also have a dedicated team that works closely with affiliates to adapt their strategies to each market’s specific needs, ensuring they have the right tools to engage their audience effectively.

Yeva: It’s no secret that Marathonbet really focuses on making things smooth for users, with a responsive live chat and an easy-to-navigate platform. How do affiliates help in that customer journey?

Affiliates are often the first touchpoint in a player’s journey. They provide valuable content, reviews, and recommendations, helping users understand the benefits of our platform before they even sign up. By working with affiliates who prioritize transparency and quality, we ensure that the players they refer to us are well-informed and ready to enjoy a seamless experience. Affiliates play a crucial role in shaping first impressions, which is why our partnership with them is key to customer satisfaction.

Yeva: Offering so many payment options, including crypto, is a big plus for players. Have you noticed any interesting trends or preferences when it comes to what payment methods affiliates and their referred players prefer?

Yes, payment preferences vary widely depending on the market. In some regions, traditional methods like bank transfers or credit cards remain the most popular. Affiliates who understand these local preferences can tailor their content and recommendations to better serve their audience.

Yeva: With the role technology plays in affiliate marketing, what helpful tools or platforms does Marathonbet provide to its affiliates?

We believe in equipping our affiliates with the best technology to enhance their performance. Our affiliate platform offers real-time tracking, detailed reporting, and various marketing materials, from banners to landing pages. We also integrate advanced analytics tools to help affiliates optimize their campaigns. Additionally, we’re continuously working on expanding the suite of resources available, including training modules and insights into player behavior to help affiliates make data-driven decisions.

Yeva: Responsible gambling is such a big topic today. Do you see the affiliates playing a bigger role in this area as time goes by?

Absolutely. As the industry evolves, so does the importance of responsible gambling, and affiliates have a significant role to play. Many affiliates are now incorporating responsible gambling messages into their content and promoting tools like deposit limits or self-exclusion options. Moving forward, we’ll be encouraging more affiliates to actively engage in this conversation, ensuring they not only drive traffic but also contribute to a safer, more responsible gaming environment.

Yeva: Looking ahead, what’s next for Marathonbet’s affiliate program? Is there anything coming up that you’re personally really excited about? And if you had to make a guess, where do you think affiliate marketing is headed in the next few years both for Marathonbet and the industry?

We have some exciting developments on the horizon, particularly in enhancing the personalization and technology aspects of the affiliate program. I’m thrilled about the improvements we’re making to our reporting tools, which will give affiliates even deeper insights into player behavior and campaign performance. In terms of the industry, I believe we’ll see more integration of AI and automation to help streamline affiliate operations. For Marathonbet, the focus will be on refining our partnerships and leveraging data to create more customized, relevant experiences for both affiliates and players.

Yeva: When you’re not managing affiliates and all things business, what’s something you’re passionate about outside of work?

Outside of work, I’m passionate about travel and exploring different cultures. It’s a great way to disconnect and gain fresh perspectives. I also enjoy fitness and staying active, whether it’s hiking or trying out new sports. It’s important to find that balance between work and personal life, and these activities help me recharge.
