On Tuesday, September 10 , US Representative Paul Tonko and US Senator Richard Blumenthal announced that later this week, on Thursday September 12 , at 1p.m they will hold a press conference and introduce a newederal online sports betting legislation. Tonko has previously introduced two federal sports betting legislations and is expected to unveil a similar proposal on Thursday. Tonko’s previous legislation aimed to provide a federal framework for sports betting, which has been largely regulated by individual states since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned PASPA in 2018.
