It’s official: Apple and Google have entered a new agreement under which Apple will use Google’s advanced Gemini artificial intelligence models and cloud technology for its next-generation Apple Foundation Models.
A joint statement released by both companies confirmed the multi-year collaboration. Based on the deal, Apple Intelligence will implement Google’s Gemini models, including a personalized version of Siri that is to debut later in 2026.

The collaboration is a further step in the years-long relationship between the two tech companies, building on the fact that Google is the default search engine on Apple devices, driving traffic for Google while generating billions in annual revenue for Apple.
After the announcements of the news, Google’s shares briefly reached a $4 trillion market value.
