The government of Armenia has shared that Malta-based Random Systems International was selected to oversee and regulate the country’s gambling sector as a result of a tender.
As revealed on August 6, 2026, Random Systems will be responsible for acting as Armenia’s gambling regulator, with its tasks including the monitoring of gambling and iGaming activity through a new digital tool. The company will operate under a subsidiary called Gaming Analysis and Monitoring System. Additionally, Random Systems also holds a similar role in Georgia.
Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Eduard Hakobyan, shared:
“As a result of the tender, Random Systems International Limited was declared the winner. The company has relevant experience and carries out similar activities in neighboring Georgia, where it serves as an operator overseeing gambling activities.”
Hakobyan further stated that the tender was conducted after the adoption of the Law on Regulation of Gambling Activities, revealing that 3 companies in total submitted applications to take part.
When the new regulatory framework is launched, all bets will be recorded in real time, with the State Revenue Committee having direct access to the data. Alongside monitoring activities, the regulatory body will assess operators’ compliance with responsible gaming rules and will implement restrictions on vulnerable players and state employees.
It’s expected that the system will fully roll out in January 2027 and will remain effective for 15 years.
