Evolution plans $75M live dealer campus in Atlantic City

Evolution has submitted plans to create a $75 million campus in Atlantic City, where its live dealer casino games will be available to iGaming companies in New Jersey.

At the moment, Evolution has live studios located in Tropicana, Hard Rock, and Ocean Casino Resort.

The planned address for Evolution’s dedicated studio is 2301 Fairmont Avenue. Right now, the land is used as a paved parking lot. Before the project can move forward, Evolution must receive the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority‘s (CRDA) approval. The government organization is in charge of construction projects and land-use planning in the Atlantic City Tourism District. The site that Evolution is looking to purchase and rebuild is also owned by the CRDA.

Evolution has enlisted Lloyd D. Levenson, a partner in the Cooper Levenson legal firm, to handle its facility project. Levenson, who has long supported the gambling business in Atlantic City, is in charge of the company’s practice in casinos and iGaming. Additionally, Levenson has made significant contributions to Stockton University, including helping to build the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality, and Tourism (LIGHT) at the public-university.

Levenson informed CRDA representatives last week that Evolution presently has 850 workers in Atlantic City. If there weren’t space constraints at the three casino resorts, the employment would be much larger.

The company states that its workforce will probably rise to about 2,000 employees by 2029 if the CRDA decides to sell or give the roughly one-acre property to Evolution. The online gambling law in New Jersey mandates that live dealer activities can only be carried out from Atlantic City. The purpose of the regulation was to lessen Atlantic City’s financial involvement with online gambling.
