Flutter Entertainment changes its financial reporting system

An international sports betting and gambling company, Flutter Entertainment, announced changes in its financial reporting system, splitting reports into two main segments: U.S. operations and international operations.
The U.S. segment will focus on FanDuel, Flutter’s dominant brand in the American market, continuing the approach used in 2024. Meanwhile, all other brands, including those in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and beyond, will be included in the “Flutter International” category. However, this category will exclude unallocated corporate overhead.
Flutter’s leadership comments that this shift aligns with its current business model and resource allocation strategy. The company reassured investors that the change will not alter past financials, though it has adjusted its 2024 reports to match the new format.
Flutter investors are concerned
NASDAQ analysts see both positives and potential concerns in Flutter’s move. On the plus side, the clearer breakdown may give investors a better understanding of the company’s operations. It also may solidify Flutter’s leadership in iGaming and betting.
However, some worry about transparency, particularly the exclusion of certain corporate costs. While the move seems not to affect past results, some stakeholders still find it concerning.
