Flutter is officially set to finalize Snaitech acquisition
An international sports betting and gambling company, Flutter Entertainment, received all the necessary approvals to complete the acquisition of Snaitech (Snai), a major player in Italy’s betting market.
The deal, worth €2.3 billion, has now passed all regulatory checks, including antitrust and gaming approvals. With its strong omnichannel presence, Snai gives Flutter a serious foothold in Italy. This move aligns perfectly with Flutter’s broader strategy of growing its global presence by investing in high-potential markets.
Once complete, Snai will join Flutter’s stacked portfolio of brands that already includes names like Sisal, tombola, and Sportsbet. With this move, Flutter will have greater reach, more scale, and the ability to bring Flutter’s advanced gaming experience to even more people in Italy and beyond.
Flutter stated:
“Adding Snai to the Flutter portfolio will consolidate Flutter’s leadership position in Italy and create a position of increased scale to capitalize on the growth opportunity in Europe’s largest regulated market.”
The company will share more details on the Snai acquisition on May 7 with its Q1 2025 report. Earlier, Flutter Entertainment changed its financial reporting system, dividing it into two main segments: U.S. operations and international operations.
