Khalid Reede appointed as CEO of Allwyn North America
Khalid Reede Jones, the previous executive director of the Virginia Lottery, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Allwyn North America.
With more than 20 years of experience in senior executive roles in gaming, licensing, lottery, and private investment, Reede is set to officially take up the role on July 6, 2026, at Allwyn’s Chicago office.
The CEO of Allwyn, Robert Chvátal, commented:
“I’m pleased to share that Khalid Reede Jones will be joining us as CEO of Allwyn North America. Khalid brings a rare mix of regulatory insight, commercial experience, and a genuine commitment to responsible growth. A digitally minded leader who understands the power of partnerships and innovation – I know his perspective and energy will be hugely valuable to our North American business.”
After leading the Virginia Lottery for the last two years, Reede will now be responsible for the company’s growth in the North American region and expansion strategies into the United States, specifically for the lottery sector.
Allwyn wrote in a statement:
“Khalid has a proven and impressive track record of creating value in highly regulated environments, navigating multi‑stakeholder systems, and turning strategy into measurable outcomes.”
Reede will be stepping into the position after ex-CEO of Allwyn North America, Wayne Pickup, left in November 2025. Additionally, Reede’s role will not cover Allwyn’s fantasy sports operator, PrizePicks.
