Low6 launches U’s Picks app in collaboration with Colchester United

Low6 has announced the launch of its brand new app that it worked closely with Colchester United FC on called U’s Picks. The club’s fans are all able to play the app free of charge on each matchday, along with a a share of £500 as the main prize.

If fans want to win the prize, they have to correctly foretell the results of the matches, including answering questions on how many goals there will be, how many corners and saves the team will have etc… throughout the entire game.

The official Colchester United app is exciting for all Colchester supporters. The new platform is a great addition for the fans, allowing them the opportunity to keep up to date with club stats, performance and the latest news whilst on the move. U’s Picks, created by Low6, will give fans the chance to pick the outcomes for every Colchester match, such as most corners, shots on target, first goal scorers and more. Fans will be pitting their wits, not against the bookie but rather other fans, with the objective to top the live leaderboard and win cash prizes. The technology is evolving all of the time, so fans can expect new features and promotions in the future too.

The football club is actually nicknamed ‘The U’s’, hence the name of the app, and they are not the first to launch an app in collaboration with Low6, since other clubs such as Sunderland AFC, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough, Oldham Athletic and Hibernian have done so as well.

Tim Waddington, Colchester United’s General Manager, also noted:

This partnership with Low6 to develop U’s PICKS is very exciting for our fans. The app will add an extra fun element to a matchday and to have the cash prizes available without an entry fee is just amazing.

Low6 has been keeping busy lately as it had an agreement with the UFC back in November of 2020 for the launch of its UFC PICKS app in order to provide ‘a new second screen experience that puts the fan at the centre of the action’. It also worked with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) for the release of a PDC Picks app a while back. Right now, the company is working hard on the release of an Initial Public Offering in Q2 of 2021.
