The American global hospitality and entertainment company – MGM Resorts International, comes forward with an exciting announcement to open a 9-billion-dollar casino property in Japan.

The constructive operations of the new casino, which will be located in Osaka, will launch soon after the total lift of pandemic-related restrictions in Japan.

Osaka comes a close second to the first most attractive business destination in Japan – Tokyo, and has been in the consideration for many Western casino companies for a few years now.

Many casino companies had been planning to invest in the Japanese market since the legalization of gambling in Japan in 2018, however most of them quit their cases.

The Governor of Osaka Prefecture – Hirofumi Yoshimura, stated recently that they have received a proposition from MGM Resorts International to start realizing the casino project in Osaka, which is currently the only one-of-the-sort in the Japanese commercial city.

Despite the fact that the Governor has not yet issued a certain positive reply to MGM’s request, Hirofumi Yoshimura did comment:

“Osaka will be happy to house the biggest international casino resort to Osaka once the global quarantine is over.”

The Governor also highlighted the importance of said future investment in Osaka as a prosperous tourist destination in Eastern Asia.
