Raketech appoints two new members to its board
Raketech has officially announced the nomination of Kathryn Baker as the new Board Chair, with Magnus Alebo also set to join as a new Board Member.
Raketech started to search for a new Board Chair after it became clear that on Jul 30, the current Chair, Ulrik Bengtsson, will resign from the Chairman role. Bengtsson led Raketech during challenging times of restructuring and strategy changes. His exit comes as a result of Raketech’s struggles with declining revenues and earnings.
Kathryn Baker, who has experience in private equity and venture capital, has been nominated to lead the board. Previously, she chaired Catena Media and was a board member of Gaming Innovation Group. Her background in governance, digital transformation, and investor relations of more than 25 years is expected to help Raketech address current challenges.
Alebo, known for founding Casumba Media and leading Hero Gaming, has also worked at Betsson Group and William Hill. He brings deep experience in affiliate marketing, user acquisition, and content strategy, all of which are core assets for Raketech’s future growth.
Johan Svensson, CEO at Raketch, said:
“On behalf of everyone at Raketech, we are delighted about Kathryn’s proposed appointment as Chair of Raketech and welcoming Magnus to the Board. Their leadership experience and deep sector expertise will be a significant asset, and I look forward to working with both of them as we focus on executing our strategy and delivering sustainable growth for our shareholders.”
Both nominations will be presented for approval at a general meeting on 30 July.
