Scientific Games appoints Jim Bombassei as new Senior VP of Investor Relations
Scientific Games Corporation has announced the appointment of Jim Bombassei as its new Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. The Nasdaq gambling technology group has verified that Bombassei will be serving as dual investor relations lead for its separately-listed Scientific Games (SGMS) and SciPlay (SCPL) ventures.
Bombassei joins Scientific Games executive leadership team from US media and entertainment combination Viacom, where he acted as the firm’s VP of investor relations and group treasurer.
“We are excited to have Jim join our financial leadership team,” announced Mike Eklund, Scientific Games Chief Financial Officer. “He brings significant investor relationships and corporate finance experience that will be a benefit to Scientific Games, SciPlay and our investor community.”
In an update geared towards stakeholders, Scientific Games identified Bombassei as the ideal candidate to complete the job, underlining his experience and track record at maintaining investor programmes, capital markets activity and treasury operations for mass scale entertainment organisations.
Bombassei stated: “Over the last year, Scientific Games has shown how it continues to deliver the games, products and technologies that operators and players want most right now. There’s a huge opportunity ahead for both Scientific Games and SciPlay to innovate for the future and continue to lead the industry across all platforms, including land-based and digital, sports betting and mobile gaming.”
