SiGMA partnered up with InvestGozo to host exclusive events
The Ministry of Gozo announced a strategic partnership between SiGMA and InvestGozo to host exclusive and high-level events over the coming weeks in Gozo.
The events will be a part of the lead-up to the SiGMA Euro-Med 2025 summit, taking place in Malta on September 1-3.
Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri, shared:
“We want Gozo to benefit from the economic impact this global event brings to the Maltese Islands. This strategic agreement recognises Gozo’s unique potential and character. It forms part of our broader efforts to strengthen quality tourism and investment on the island.”
The minister highlighted that while Gozo is famous for its beautiful scenery and rich cultural heritage, the island is ruled by clear strategic objectives, established by the government, focusing on economic growth and investment as well.
The minister continued:
“This collaboration with SiGMA marks a significant step in our ongoing mission to position Gozo as a strategic hub for sustainable investment and innovation. These high-level retreats will not only spotlight the island’s unique potential but also strengthen our long-term vision by fostering meaningful partnerships aligned with our economic roadmap.”
The minister mentioned the infrastructure improvements that help Gozo attract high-value industries, such as better digital connectivity through the second fibre optic cable, extended fast ferry services, and the upcoming airfield project.
Minister Camilleri further added:
“These advancements are creating easier access for both leisure and business travel, enhancing Gozo’s prospects as a premium investment destination. With guidance from the Gozo Regional Development Strategy and Malta Vision 2050, and through InvestGozo, we remain fully committed to building the right environment for sustainable economic growth, quality employment, and long-term resilience, while safeguarding Gozo’s distinct character and identity.”
The primary objective of this partnership with SiGMA is to promote Gozo as a regional investment center.
Ronald Sultana, Director for Tourism and Economic Development, said:
“We are going beyond virtual exposure by physically hosting around 100 investors on the island. This marks a milestone in Gozo’s engagement with the global investment community.”
Gozo will play a major role in the SiGMA activities. The Ministry of Gozo and Planning will actively participate in the conference, bringing together other stakeholders for stronger visibility and engagement.
Emily Micallef, CEO of SiGMA Group, shared in a statement:
“We’re proud to launch two key events as part of SiGMA Euro-Med 2025. The Affiliate Retreat, taking place from 28–30 August, will host 50 top-tier affiliate leaders. These individuals shape online communities and consumer journeys, generating millions in visits and revenue.”
CEO Emily Micallef, CFO Clive Terribile, and COO Heathcliff Farrugia welcomed Minister Clint Camilleri at the SiGMA Group HQ. The visit included a guided tour and a private meeting.
