Simon Zinger to step down from Entain general counsel role
It’s been revealed that Simon Zinger is set to depart from his positions of group general counsel and chief customer care officer at Entain.
Zinger has served in the role of group general counsel for more than five years and signed a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) during this period, which requires the company to complete a compliance program and maintain strong cooperation with the CPS until the end of the four-year term in December 2027.
Additionally, Zinger has a Personal Management License (PML) obtained from the UK Gambling Commission, meaning he must notify the regulator of his departure. It’s expected that Zinger will continue serving in both positions for a short time before his final exit from the operator.
Alongside his 2 roles, Zinger is also a part of Entain’s group executive committee and played an important role in securing a Nevada license for the operator in 2024 with the further help of CEO Stella David and former Chairman Barry Gibson.
Zinger is also known for his position against illegal gambling and unlicensed operators, with Entain having shared in late June 2026 that he had reached out to the UK Intellectual Property Office to raise concerns about a gap in illegal operators’ trademark registration.
Despite confirmations from multiple sources, Entain itself hasn’t yet publicly shared the news of Zinger’s departure.
