Stake officially launches in Mexico

Stake has announced its official launch in Mexico, as the operator will offer its services through stake.mx ahead of the World Cup 2026, with Mexico co-hosting the event.

Stake will provide access to its sports betting and casino products for local players as an agent under Uno Capali’s license agreement, operating under a permit-based system regulated by SEGOB.

The director of Stake, Jarrod Febbraio, commented:

“Mexico is an important and exciting market for us – one that combines strong underlying growth with a deep cultural connection to sport, which aligns perfectly with what Stake is built for. We’ve built significant momentum across Latin America in recent years, including in markets such as Peru and Colombia, and Mexico represents a natural next step given its scale and long-term potential.”

The World Cup 2026 was one of the main drivers of choosing Mexico as Stake’s new launch location, as the tournament is set to bring strong sportsbook acquisition and engagement activity in Latin America.

Jarrod Febbraio added:

“The timing of this launch reflects our ability to move with precision into high-value markets at the right moment. It gives us the opportunity to establish a strong presence ahead of one of the biggest sporting events in the world and deliver a world-class experience for Mexican players.”

In March 2026, the operator had also revealed that Eden Hazard became Stake’s World Cup marketing ambassador.
