UAE issues new gambling licneses

The UAE’s General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) issued new vendor licenses to international players, including EQL Games and Austria-based Novomatic.

EQL Games has a focus on lottery-related games and will offer “a suite of high-end gaming products in the UAE on any regulated gaming platform”, the supplier said.

EQL Games CEO Brad Cummings said:

“Securing this license marks a significant step for EQL Games as we continue our mission to bring innovative, secure, and responsible lottery solutions to markets worldwide.”

Novomatic, which will focus on land-based gaming, said it’s ready to support licensed operators and deliver the same high-quality experience that global players are used to.

Novomatic executive board member Stefan Kreen said:

“Our latest gaming solutions are designed to deliver exceptional performance to land-based gaming facilities across the United Arab Emirates, ensuring that international players can enjoy their preferred games with the same high standards and quality they expect from other jurisdictions worldwide.”

All this is building up to the launch of Wynn Resorts’ massive $5.1 billion integrated resort on Al Marjan Island.  Earlier, Wynn Resorts secured a $2.4B loan for the UAE casino project. With major funding in place and construction well underway, the UAE is clearly positioning itself as a serious new player in the global gaming space.
