888 names Per Widerstrom as new CEO
888 Holdings has recently announced the appointment of Per Widerstrom as its latest CEO.
Over the course of his nearly three-decade career, Widerstrom has worked in various higher-management positions. The new appointee has also been in the online gambling industry for nearly two decades, with one of his most recent major positions in the sector being the CEO of Fortuna Entertainment. Widerstrom is also currently a Board Member at several major corporations, including gambling firm Catena Media.
888’s Executive Chairman, Lord Mendelsohn, remarked:
“We are excited to finally be bringing our extensive search to an end with the appointment of Per as our new CEO. Our Board identified him as an outstanding candidate with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He has worked at both public and privately-owned companies throughout his career and has successfully created numerous effective expansion and value-creation initiatives. His extensive experience in the gambling industry was another major point of focus for us in our selection process, and we are certain that he will be an excellent leader for the firm.”
The new appointee, Per Widerström, commented:
