888 revealed as new sponsor of Portuguese Grand Prix
888, the well-known iGaming operator, has now been announced as the new title sponsor of the 2021 Portuguese Grand Prix, which is set to take place next month.
The race will be taking place at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal and will last from April the 16th until the 18th, and through this new agreement will be renamed to the Grande Prémio 888 de Portugal.
Dorna Sports managing director Pau Serracanta commented on the news saying:
“We are very happy to welcome 888 as title sponsor for the Portuguese Grand Prix and see the 888 name take top billing at one of the most spectacular tracks on the calendar. 888 is a well-known and respected name in the field and we’re very happy to welcome them back to MotoGP.”
The operator is infamous in many different regions across the globe, and also provides content to its Portuguese customers with the 888casino brand through the 888.pt portal.
Additionally, the operator is still very closely affiliated with the sports sector, since this month, it became the official sponsor of the Shamrock Rovers Football Club for 2021 and 2022 seasons.
888 Portugal head of PT markets, Monica Rangel, stated:
