AGA and NASCAR to promote responsible sports betting

The American Gaming Association (AGA) and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) have strengthened their partnership to promote responsible sports betting, aiming to reduce problem gambling across major motorsport events.

This latest initiative from the two organizations started with responsible gambling messages announced at the Xfinity 500 race at Martinsville Speedway, followed by broadcasts during the NASCAR Cup Series Championship. Fans saw continued messages encouraging safe betting practices.

In 2023, NASCAR renewed a four-year media rights deal with sports data provider Sportradar and partnered with FanDuel, permitting FanDuel to incorporate NASCAR’s branding into its sports betting services. Furthermore, NASCAR solidified its role in North Carolina’s newly regulated sports betting market through a partnership with DraftKings, naming it an official daily fantasy sports and gaming operator. This year, NASCAR partnered with nVenue, which, through Amelco, now offers fans live, in-race betting options.

AGA and NASCAR partnerships

The partnership between AGA and NASCAR began in 2020, making NASCAR the first U.S. professional sports league to join AGA in its initiative to support responsible gaming. The mission is to create a safer environment for bettors, reaching NASCAR’s vast audience with educational content combined with high-profile event broadcasts.
