Allwyn has shared its Q1 earnings, revealing that the company recorded €1.2 billion in quarterly net revenue, driven by its acquisition of fantasy sports operator PrizePicks.

Quarterly net revenue increased by 21% year-on-year, while adjusted EBITDA increased by 24% to €443 million. The acquisition of PrizePicks gave the biggest push to Allwyn’s revenue, as the company’s growth excluding PrizePicks was only 5%.

Regionally, Europe was the biggest market for the operator, responsible for a 7% revenue increase, with North America contributing €305 million to total revenue; however, the UK segment’s gross gaming revenue declined by 7% to €942 million.

Allwyn CEO Robert Chvatal commented:

“The progress of our enlarged group this quarter demonstrates the breadth and strength of the Allwyn platform, with strong momentum in profitability and growth in continental Europe, the addition of PrizePicks in North America, the completion of the UK technology transformation, a strong contribution from Betano, and continued development of our digital and content capabilities.”

Regarding digital channels, total online NGR jumped by 68% to €540 million, while lottery NGR dropped by 5% to €487 million during the quarter. For iGaming, net revenue stood at €147 million, representing a 29% rise, and sports betting net revenue came at €159 million, a 13% increase.

The company also announced the launch of a €150 million share buyback program, noting that shareholder returns are an important part of Allwyn’s capital allocation strategy.
