Allwyn has shared its Q1 earnings, revealing that the company recorded €1.2 billion in quarterly net revenue, driven by its acquisition of fantasy sports operator PrizePicks....
On August 19, 2026, Allwyn UK announced that Andria Vidler is set to step down from her position as CEO on September 7, 2026, after serving in the role since October 2023.
Vidler stepped into the role at the time when the company was awarded the Fourth National Lottery license and consequently managed Allwyn’s transition into becoming the UK National Lottery’s operator. Vidler led some of the biggest changes for Allwyn, including infrastructure updates for 43,500 retail partners and updates to the operator’s website and app.
Chair of Allwyn UK, Justin King, commented:
“With the major transition milestones delivered, now is the right time to look to the future and build on the solid foundations that have been laid to create a strong platform for future growth.”
Vidler further added:
“Transforming the National Lottery is a marathon, not a sprint, and, with the major transition now complete and the National Lottery in a stronger position to keep delivering for the nation, this feels like the right moment for me to pass on the baton.”
Additionally, the company revealed that former William Hill and 888 executive Phil Walker will take up the role of interim CEO, as Vidler will remain in an advisory role until October 2026 to help with the transition period.
Phil Walker stated:
“I am excited and proud to be taking up the baton from Andria and joining such a vital national institution at this important stage of its growth journey. As a long-standing National Lottery player, I know first-hand the difference that it makes to communities across the UK. This is a huge part of what attracted me to the role. It will be a real honor to help build on the progress already made.”
Previously, Walker held senior roles at Ladbrokes Coral Group and Gala Interactive, while more recently he worked as a non-executive director at City Gaming Limited.
