ANJ launches new responsible gambling campaign

The ANJ has recently launched a responsible gambling campaign ahead of the upcoming Rugby World Cup.

The new campaign aims to educate French bettors about responsible gambling and help them place wagers while following sports betting best practices. The main messages of the campaign will be to enjoy the pastime for recreational purposes only, to set a wagering budget ahead of time, and to not overestimate one’s sports knowledge.

This announcement follows a study conducted on behalf of the ANJ that asked people in France about their intentions to wager during the upcoming Rugby World Cup. The survey found that around 13% of participants are going to be betting during the sports championship, which prompted the authority to launch the campaign. Additionally, rugby is also the fourth most bet-on sport in the country, which further drove the ANJ’s decision.

The campaign has been prepared in collaboration with the advertising agency Rosbeef!, which has previously worked with the regulatory authority on a similar responsible gambling campaign a while ago ahead of the 2022 Football World Cup championship. The campaign’s messages will be spread throughout social media, namely Snapchat, in addition to digital advertising places in a variety of public settings.
