Aristocrat completes NeoGames acquisition approval process
Aristocrat Leisure Limited said on Friday that it has obtained all the permissions required to purchase NeoGames S.A., a Luxembourg-based provider of gambling platforms.
Regulatory clearances pertaining to foreign investment regulations and antitrust laws are among these approvals.
IThe initial bid of 1.2 billion dollars to acquire NeoGames was made by Aristocrat in May of last year. The transaction was approved at the time by NeoGames’ Board of Directors, and sixty-one percent of the outstanding shares of the company’s shareholders had already voted in favor of it.
Aristocrat claims that the acquisition will give the company instant access to a worldwide scale and set of skills, allowing it to carry out its online RMG strategy and spur rapid expansion. It is believed that this kind of action will be particularly beneficial for market expansion in North America, Europe, and other regions.
Offering services in online sports betting, iGaming, and lottery, NeoGames is regarded as the global leader in technology and content solutions for the online RMG market. The company employs more than 1,100 people and serves over two hundred customers across more than fifty regulated markets.
The acquisition process culminates in a shareholder vote set for April 26, 2024. Together, Aristocrat and NeoGames are making every effort to close the transaction by this deadline.
It’s important to remember that Aristocrat previously made a failed attempt to purchase Playtech plc, a platform provider located in the UK.
