Atari has launched its crypto casino in close collaboration with Decentral Games.

Dillon Francis, DJ and electronic musician, was at the centre stage of the launch party and was one of the people behind the NFTs which had been auctioned throughout the event. Francis worked closely with MERDA and developed three NFTs which were auctioned on OpenSea during the event. One of these NFTs ended up selling for 6.42 Ethereum (about $17,000).

Aside from that, Francis also did a set through live stream during the launch party. Atari praised his performance on their Twitter account, mentioning that he had broken several records with the event. The virtual event started off with a doubled prize pool. The Atari Token official Twitter account posted a tweet confirming that, a few hours before the event kicked off. This meant that the prize pool was at $20,000.

Last month, the Japanese firm revealed its new agreement with Decentral Games for the launch of a crypto casino. This would become a platform which players can use to play casino games by using cryptocurrencies. Many reports indicate that this casino is a 3D platform which runs on the Ethereum blockchain through Decentraland.

The Atari Casino currently features a 20-parcel estate which is located in the Casino Quarter of Vegas City on Decentraland, they also are seeking to open the world’s first Atari-themed hotel in the real Las Vegas next year.
