Aviator Studio & Adjara Group founder passes away at age 56
On June 22, 2026, game provider Aviator Studio revealed that its founder, Teimuraz Ugulava, passed away at the age of 56 after battling an illness.
In addition to being the founder of Aviator Studio, Ugulava was behind the Adjara Group and Setanta Holding as well, known for his extensive experience in gaming, media, and technology. According to a statement shared by the company, Ugulava was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.
Aviator Studio wrote:
“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our founder, Teimuraz Ugulava, after a long and courageous battle with illness. Temur’s legacy will forever remain a part of Aviator Studio, Adjara Group, Setanta Holding, and everyone whose lives were touched by his ideas, leadership, generosity, and courage.”
At the same time, the game provider stressed that it would remain focused on continuing Ugulava’s mission, protecting and pushing forward his legacy and beliefs with resilience and determination.
Adjara Group shared:
“Temur’s contribution to modern Georgia was remarkable. He created projects that transformed not only the country’s hospitality industry, but also its cultural and social landscape. His values, his vision, and his love for Georgia will always remain at the heart of what we do.”
Ugulava also previously owned AdjaraBet, Georgia’s leading gambling company, before selling it in 2019.
