Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance to generate record bets

The American Gaming Association (AGA) is expecting the Super Bowl to generate more than $1.76 billion in legal bets driven by Bad Bunny’s performance during the halftime show.

The expected record bets would present a 20% increase compared to 2025, as the betting market is in anticipation of details of the performance. Bets range from predictions on the opening and closing songs of the setlist to the singer’s on-stage costume.

Bad Bunny said:

“I’m excited about this performance. But at the same time, I feel more excited for other people, not even me. My family, my friends, and people I know who have always believed in me. The culture. That’s what makes this show special to me.”

There are additional predictions about who could join Bad Bunny on stage, with the most popular options being Colombian artist J Balvin, the Puerto Rican duo Jowell & Randy, and U.S. artists Cardi B and Missy Elliott.

The bets also have a political side connected to the recent tensions around immigration law in the U.S., as bettors are considering a possible on-stage protest by Bad Bunny against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), especially after the artist’s speech during the Grammy Awards.
