“Best quarter ever” is recorded by Betsson

The president and CEO of Betsson AB, Pontus Lindwall described the ended quarters as “best quarter ever”
Revenue, income before tax, or earnings before the first mortgage payment, is €271.5 million, while EBITDA, or earnings before tax, is €77.6 million, so this implies a profit margin of 28.6 percent. The total group revenue for the half year amounts to €519.7 million, and EBITDA is €149.2 million. Similarly, its profit rate remained at 28.7%.
Lindwal said:
“The second quarter of 2024 meant continued high growth and strengthened profitability with new records in both revenue and operating income for Betsson. Revenue increased by 15 per cent and operating income increased by 18 per cent, while the operating margin strengthened to 23.6 per cent.”
There was strong customer activity during the entire quarter The growth became larger since the quarter also had UEFA EURO and Copa America. A 25 percent increase was recorded in the count of active clients with 15% deposits rise.
Lindwal continued:
“I am particularly delighted to note the improved operating margin in the quarter and the highest ever operating income, given the increased proportion of revenue that was subject to local gaming taxes. The share of revenue from locally regulated markets amounted to 55 per cent and includes Peru for the first time, where local gaming tax was accrued during the entire second quarter. For several years, Betsson has established itself as the most well-known brand for sports betting in Peru.”
These figures emphasize the group’s useful financial performance and stable profit margins. In view of unchanged EBITDA margins over both periods, the results show that the firm has managed its costs well enough and generated substantial revenue for it to remain viable and successful in the future.
