Bet365 chief executive Denise Coates keeps its position as UK’s highest taxpayer, though her salary was cut by $227mln throughout the past year.

The founder family of 365 paid around £482mln tax for the year ending March 2021, which is £180m more than the second highest-payer of UK taxes, Chris Rokos.

The financial estimates conducted by Companies House shows that the company gained a revenue amounting to £2.8bln for the mentioned period.

It generated a profit costing £470mln, from which the CEO gained £250mln as a salary. As she possesses 50 percent of bet365, she received a little less from £50mln.

The figures show that Coates salary had a decrease of £170mln, compared to the figures of the previous 12 months.

Totally, Coates has gained nearly £1.3bln during the last 5 years.

Bet365 noted:

“At the beginning of the year, sport events had nearly ceased. By the end of the first half of the year, sport events started to take place with the dominant part of European football leagues”.

During the same period of time, the sum of gambled on sports decreased by 13 percent. Bet365 also took into account losses which Stoke City had. It’s a football club, which 93 percent of shares possesses bet365.

The operating outcome of the company increased by 47 percent, amounting to £286mln.

Bet365 was established with the joint forces of Coates’ family, including her brother and father.
