BetComply introduces a tool to assist in navigating the evolving Dutch regulatory framework for license holders in the Netherlands.
The regulatory compliance expert BetComply recently launched a platform that combines auditing services with self-assessment. Operators may fill out a series of questions with the necessary supporting documentation using the ‘ComplyCheck‘ solution, which is powered by SG Certified, and then send it to the BetComply team for evaluation.
With the assistance of its regulatory expert team, BetComply then evaluates the data and offers comments on any discrepancies that can result in noncompliance as well as insights into conformance with the ongoing modifications to the Dutch regulatory structure.
A legislative debate regarding the enactment of additional player protection measures has been triggered by the impending revision of the Dutch Remote Gambling Act. Franc Weerwind, the Minister of Legal Protection, and the Dutch Gambling Authority, Kansspelautoriteit, are at the forefront of this debate, proposing the beginning of variable loss limits based on the age of players.
The Chief Compliance Officer of BetComply, Mike de Graaff, stressed the value of license holders in the Netherlands taking proactive steps to fulfill their duty of care to their customers. He emphasized the possibility of KSA repercussions for noncompliance. He also noted how ComplyCheck provides a seamless integration with regular company activities, enabling businesses to satisfy compliance obligations in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
