BetMGM CMO Casey Hurbis steps down from position
Casey Hurbis, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of BetMGM, has announced his departure from the company after 18 months.
Hurbis first joined the operator in December 2024 and used his skills to support the growth of BetMGM through multiple initiatives, such as the launch of the “Make It Legendary” campaign, which featured actor Jon Hamm, and he also brought in different athletes as brand ambassadors in order to expand the operator’s visibility.
Hurbis wrote:
“After a high-velocity chapter at BetMGM, I’m moving on. We didn’t just move the needle; we enjoyed BetMGM’s best year ever, and we redefined the brand playbook. From a massive CRM transformation and integration of AI into our creative workflows to industry-leading social engagement and many other wins, the super talented marketing team leaned into my ‘Art, Science and Courage ‘ mantra every single day. If we’re talking crowning achievements, it’s the reimagination and modernisation of the BetMGM brand identity and development of an epic organising idea.”
Prior to working with BetMGM, Hurbis held the CMO role at Rocket Mortgage, served as a marketing committee member for the 2024 NFL Draft, and worked at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).
At the moment, he serves as a board member at Adweek, Adcraft Detroit, Google, and Nano Magic.
The operator hasn’t yet announced who will take on the role of CMO.
