BetMGM faces the heaviest fine of $282,205 in Pennsylvania
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has issued three fines to BetMGM, totaling $282,205.
From the total fine, $260,905 came from 152 breaches where self-excluded individuals were able to gamble on the platform, which is something Pennsylvania law strictly prohibits.
Other fines include $13,800 against Rush Street Gaming for failing to submit a required license renewal for its CFO and $7,500 against Stadium Casino Westmoreland for using revoked software in 11 slot machines.
These fines, recommended by the Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC), address regulatory violations by gaming operators in the state.
Pennsylvania strictly monitors the gambling market
Next to financial penalties, the PGCB also took action against individuals who left minors unattended while gambling. A man who left a 12-year-old alone in a car at Live! Casino Philadelphia twice in one day was added to the state’s Involuntary Exclusion List. Another case involved a woman who left a child unsupervised at Mount Airy Casino for 26 minutes while playing slots.
With repeated compliance failures, BetMGM continues to face scrutiny from regulators across North America.
