Better Collective has recently purchased four of Everysport Group’s flagship brands for 3.7 million euros.

The four brands in question are Innebandymagazinet.se, Fotbolldirekt.se, HockeySverige.se, and SvenskaFans.com, all of which are leading sports media websites in the Swedish market. This acquisition will allow Better Collective to expand its Swedish audience, growing its reach and international presence.

The first three sites cover a variety of sports, namely floorball, football, and hockey respectively, while SvenskaFans focuses on a collection of several popular sports and hosts one of the largest communities of sports fans in the country. The latter was first founded more than two decades ago in the year 2000 and currently has a monthly active user base of more than 5 million people.

In its announcement, Better Collective added that it will be utilizing its portfolio of varied revenue streams to better monetize its new brands, as they have previously only generated revenue through traditional CPM promotional campaigns and through subscriptions.

The purchase of the four websites will cost Better Collective 3.7 million euros, which it will be paying in three installments. The media firm also added that this acquisition has not had an impact on its 2023 financial projections.
