Bruno Mars jokes about $50M MGM debt rumor
Following his surprise appearance at Blackpink’s concert in Los Angeles on July 13th, Bruno Mars posted a video on Instagram, joking about the rumors that he is in gambling debts to MGM casinos.
The joke is about the rumors from March 2024 that claimed Bruno had lost $50 million in gambling debt at MGM Casinos. Moreover, the rumor also suggested his long-term performance deal with MGM was being used to pay it off.
However, MGM Resorts quickly shut down the claims with a statement:
“MGM and Bruno’s partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM.”
Bruno, known for his sense of humour, hasn’t been shy about laughing at the rumor.

Back in January, he posted an Instagram story and asked fans to “KEEP STREAMING” his music so he could get “out of debt in no time,” after becoming the first artist on Spotify to hit 150 million monthly listeners.
Whether the rumor was true or not, Bruno’s sense of humour proves he’s not letting it get to him, and fans are enjoying the ride.
