CDI announces SAP as signature Derby partner
SAP has recently been named the signature partner of CDI’s racecourse and the Derby.
Through this partnership, the enterprise software firm will become the first official technology associate for CDI’s flagship racetrack and thoroughbred racing events, the Churchill Downs Racecourse, the Kentucky Oaks, and the Derby.
CDI’s CEO, Bill Carstanjen, commented:
“We are delighted that SAP has joined us as the signature partner for our racecourse and the Derby. SAP is an established international firm that shares our vision of continually innovating to accelerate our growth. We are also delighted that SAP joined us in time for the forthcoming 150th installment of the Derby, which will take place in early May.”
SAP America’s President, Lloyd Adams, remarked:
“This collaboration is an excellent opportunity for us to join forces with one of the most esteemed events in sports, the Derby. We are always excited to work with partners that share our dedication to innovation and we are eager to help CDI utilize our technology and extensive experience to accelerate their growth.”
Furthermore, this partnership between the two firms also included the transfer of the exclusive naming rights for the newly renamed SAP Starting Gate Suites, which is a set of high-end suites at the operator’s flagship thoroughbred racing property.
