CEO Richard Brown to step down from GiG in 2024

Richard Brown has recently announced that he will be leaving GiG at the end of the year.

This latest announcement will be bringing the CEO’s lengthy tenure at the company to an end. Having originally joined GiG back in 2016 as a Managing Director, Brown will be about one month shy of having an 8-year tenure at the company when he leaves at the end of the year.

GiG’s Chairman, Petter Nylander, stated:

“Over his time at the company, Richard has helped us immensely and has played an instrumental role in maximizing the value for our investors. We are also happy that he will be maintaining his position till the end of 2023 to afford us time to ensure a seamless transition to his successor.”

Richard Brown commented:

“I am delighted to have had the opportunity to be a part of GiG for the past nearly 8 years, almost half of which was as the company’s CEO, during which I was able to be a part of its excellent growth. I am certain that the management teams of its two main divisions will be able to continue on the company’s trajectory for the foreseeable future.”

Back in February, GiG launched a review of its operations, assessing the viability of splitting the business into two separate sectors for the company’s media and development divisions. In this latest announcement, the firm stated that this review is continuing to make progress and that its media leadership team will remain unchanged, while the search for a new CEO for its development operations has already commenced.
