Finnish state-owned gaming operator Veikkaus announced the appointment of Chris Armes as the Executive Vice President of Gaming Technologies and a member of the company’s Executive Team on August 17, 2026.
The appointment comes in time for Finland’s liberalization of the gambling industry, with Armes expected to step into the new role in fall 2026, leading the technology team from the operator’s headquarters in Helsinki.
The CEO and president of Veikkaus, Olli Sarekoski, welcomed the appointment of Armes and added that the company is currently focusing on improving its digital platforms and expanding in international markets.
Sarekoski commented:

Armes added:

Before joining Veikkaus, Armes worked at High5Games, where he managed technology and operational delivery for B2B and B2C markets. He previously held roles at Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) and Scientific Games Digital.
