Delaware Lottery’s shift from 888 Holdings to Rush Street Interactive led to a revenue increase from $1.2M to $3.4M in January, showing significant benefits.

Providing digital casino games, slots, and wagering on sports, RSI made its debut as the state’s selected operator in the same month. The research indicates that there may be a small but growing market as more states consider allowing internet gambling.

The digital approach used in Delaware differs slightly from that in the majority of states and international legal systems. There is just one operator in the state because to its relatively tiny population of approximately one million people. The three casino racetracks in the state collaborate with RSI to provide internet gambling.

Despite the strong earnings report for January, poker players might feel excluded. Since 888 was replaced, there isn’t a virtual poker alternative at the moment. Delaware gamers are now excluded from the nation’s multi-state internet poker arrangement, which also includes Nevada, New Jersey, and Michigan.

Although RSI doesn’t presently have internet-based poker, in 2022 it paid 5M dollars to purchase Phil Galfond’s Run It Once Poker. With this foundation, the corporation is anticipated to join the United States market. Although no more information has been released, Delaware officials have stated that they anticipate RSI to introduce poker at a later date.

Rush Street Interactive has already disclosed that it is creating a poker platform, which they are eager to share with players, according to Delaware Lottery director Helene Keeley. Although they are not yet ready to talk about a precise schedule, the Lottery and RSIA are collaborating to bring poker to Delawareans.
