For February 2025, the three casinos in Detroit reported a combined monthly income of $98.8 million.

Of this, $98 million came from table games and slot machines, reflecting a slight decrease of 6.4% compared to the same month last year and a 4.2% dip from January 2025.

The market shares for February were as follows:

  • 47% for MGM Grand Detroit,
  • 29% for MotorCity Casino,
  • 24% for Hollywood Casino at Greektown.

In terms of retail sports betting, the casinos reported $815,561 in revenue. They collectively handled $8.2 million in retail sports bets, with gross receipts amounting to $820,450. When compared to February 2024, qualified adjusted gross receipts (QAGR) showed an increase of $940,414, but a decrease of $1.7 million when compared to January 2025.

The three casinos paid $7.9 million in state gaming taxes and contributed $11.7 million in wagering taxes and development payments to the City of Detroit. For retail sports betting, the state received $30,828 in gaming taxes, while the City of Detroit received $37,679 in wagering taxes.
