DraftKings sells VSiN back to Musburger Media

After first purchasing the network for $70 million in March 2021, DraftKings has sold the Vegas Sports Information Network (VSiN) to Musburger Media for an undisclosed sum.

The agreement was made public on Monday, July 22.

Brian Musburger and Bill Adee, the founders of VSiN, will retake ownership of the business as part of the agreement. The two guys led the sports betting network through its initial 2021 sale to DraftKings and created it in 2017. The network streams around the clock and offers 18 hours of daily original content centered around betting.

In a statement on Monday, Musburger said:

“We truly appreciate the work we’ve done with DraftKings and look forward to continuing to collaborate on future projects,” he said. “Bill and I couldn’t be more excited about leading VSiN into the future and cementing our position as a trusted authority in sports betting.”

DraftKings’ original intention when it acquired VSiN was to support the growth of its viewership “alongside the expansion of legal sports betting in the US.”

CEO Jason Robins commented:

“Consumers who are looking to become more knowledgeable about sports betting would benefit from the relationship.”

The sports betting-media investment landscape remains volatile.
