Drake faces second lawsuit linked to Satke.com

Drake is facing his second lawsuit linked to the crypto gambling site Stake.com in just one week, with plaintiffs claiming that Stake.com and its US platform, Stake.us, operate an illegal online casino disguised as a “social casino.”

While Stake.com is one of the world’s most profitable online casinos, it cannot legally operate in the US. Plaintiffs argue that Stake.us presents itself as a free-to-play “social casino” but is essentially a copy of the real casino, allowing unlawful gambling and violating New Mexico’s gaming and consumer protection laws.

This lawsuit follows another filed in Missouri earlier this week, which also names Drake and Ross. That case claims Stake.us bypasses state gambling restrictions through digital token mechanics.

Stake has responded to the Missouri case, saying it has not been formally served and that it plans to defend against all claims.

Drake’s role

Both lawsuits highlight Drake’s promotional role. He signed a $100 million deal with Stake and has streamed high-stakes bets, including a $1.25 million Bitcoin bet during the 2022 Super Bowl. Plaintiffs argue these sessions glamorize gambling and target younger audiences.
