The business that was known as Newgioco decided to unite the venture with District Hospitality, which is the club’s operator, and is going to trade under BetDupont LLC.The initial term of the agreement is 3 years from the date of issue of the license – with built-in provisions for 2 proposed extensions of 2 years each.
The contract is subject to approval by the D.C. Lottery and Gambling Regulatory Authorities – and will become the third white label retail bookmaker to open a company in the city, concluding similar deals with the Grand Central Restaurant and bookmaker, which have been completed, and the Cloakroom Gentlemen’s Club, which is waiting for being confirmed by regulatory authorities.
Michael Ciavarella, the chairperson of the company, put the deal in the context of the business’s broader US small business strategy.
“Although this approval is the first step of the process of getting a license required to work with our solution for bookmakers in Ozio Lounge, we believe that the growing pace of obtaining permits demonstrates the dynamics of our expansion in the United States, as well as our ability to utilize sports books as an auxiliary product for restaurants, bars and other small business establishments.”
