Entain posts 7% YoY rise in H1 2026 revenue

Global sports betting and iGaming company Entain shared its H1 2026 results on August 13, 2026, revealing that its net gaming revenue increased by 5% year-on-year, reaching £2.5 billion.

The Ladbrokes owner and BetMGM co-owner attributed the performance to a 9% rise in online volumes and a strong push from World Cup betting activity. On the other hand, underlying EBITDA came in at £479.3 million, which beat the £455 million estimates but was still 2% lower compared to 2025 results.

Online adjusted EBITDA brought in a 21.4% margin. Additionally, iGaming revenue grew by 9%, while sports revenue increased by 4%.

Regionally, the UK, Ireland, and Australia segments recorded 13% year-on-year hikes each in revenue during the first half of 2026. Online revenue in New Zealand jumped by 21%, and Canada saw an 11% year-on-year rise.

CEO of Entain, Stella David, commented:

“I am pleased with Entain’s start to 2026, with strong momentum and volume growth continuing as well as strong player engagement across the group throughout the World Cup tournament. This performance reflects our strengthening operations and focused execution, which reinforces the resilience of our globally scaled business and its ability to consistently deliver high-quality growth.”

However, group operating profit was down by 10% to £131.9 million, and underlying operating profit also declined by 10% to £318.9 million. Despite this, Entain was able to improve its net loss from £116.9 million in 2025 to £5.6 million.
