Five unlicensed iGaming platforms face action in Michigan

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has ordered five iGaming platforms to stop their operations in the state within 14 days.

It is illegal to accept bets from Michigan residents without a proper license or player protection. According to the MGCB, these platforms violated multiple laws, including the Lawful Internet Gaming Act and the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act.

Those five platforms are:

  1. BoVegas Casino
  2. BUSR
  3. Cherry Gold Casino
  4. Lucky Legends
  5. Wager Attack Casino

All these platforms were offering games like slots, blackjack, and sports betting without proper regulation or consumer protections.

MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams stated:

“These illegal sites undermine the integrity of Michigan’s regulated gaming industry and put players at serious risk. We will not tolerate unlicensed gambling operations that exploit Michigan residents. Our top priority is to protect the public by enforcing the law and shutting down these illegal platforms.”

These platforms, whether offshore or without a license, put players at risk.  Williams ensured that the board would continue taking severe actions to protect the gaming industry and provide a safe, legal, and regulated market.

In case of not following the order, the MGCB will take legal action against violators.  Moreover, the agency encourages residents to report any illegal gambling activity.
