Florida seizes over 200 illegal gaming machines

The Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) has conducted enforcement action against three businesses in northeast Florida and seized more than 230 illegal slot machines.

The raids took place in venues located in Jacksonville and Orange Park. The operation, called “Funny Money,” saw the FGCC assist the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

An additional 23 fish tables, digital media, and related equipment were also seized. All the collected machines and equipment were transferred to an FGCC storage facility for evidentiary purposes, while proceeds recovered from the machines were kept and documented by evidence technicians as part of the HSI investigation.

Executive director of FGCC, Alana Zimmer, said:

“The Florida Gaming Control Commission welcomes the opportunity to partner with our federal and local partners to stem illegal gambling in our state. We will take the vital, necessary steps to shut down illegal casinos that are popping up across Florida. Our agents are constantly working to permanently close the doors of illegal gambling establishments, and we appreciate the collaboration with our federal partners.”

Previously, in November 2025, the FGCC and the Port Orange Police Department confiscated 20 slot and 2 coin pusher machines, and $25,659 was seized in cash.
