Former Inspired CCO Steve Rogers launches Playbook Fusion

Playbook Fusion aims to create a new category of betting products with a sports theme by fusing gambling with video games.

According to Playbook Fusion, every game will provide a more immersive and lasting experience than the ones that are currently on the market. It further states that in order to influence the result of each game, players will need to maximize their strategy and apply their skills.

The goal of Playbook Fusion, a new B2B games studio founded by Steve Rogers, the longtime former chief commercial officer of Inspired Entertainment, is to provide a new category of betting products.

According to Playbook Fusion:

“Recognizing how players of video games enjoy the feeling of ownership and pitting their skills against other players in the global community, Playbook Fusion takes that same desire for connection and community into the sphere of gambling.”

Rogers collaborated with Santiago Jaramillo to create and introduce the new business. Jaramillo has worked in the video game industry for nearly twelve years, having held positions at Electronic Arts and Scopely.

Rogers said:

“I am proud and excited to launch my new venture. Bringing together a super-talented team from the gaming and gambling spheres, including the amazing Santiago Jaramillo, to develop a new genre of immersive, persistent sports-themed gambling products is so exciting.
It’s fascinating to be able to take insight from the games industry to understand how creative directors develop sophisticated game mechanics and ecosystems to engage their players and then looking at how they can be brought into the gambling sphere. The game is about to change.”

He departed Inspired six months prior to the launch. Before leaving in November of last year, Rogers worked for the developer for over twenty-five years as the CCO.
