The firm will help governments and regulators handle fast-moving changes in the global gambling industry, with a strong focus on fighting against illegal gambling markets. GamReg plans to work alongside commercial providers that already supply regulatory bodies, guiding clients on how to align regulation, industry practices, and technology so players have real reasons to play with licensed platforms. The firm has already started projects with partners in North America and aims to expand its reach further in 2027.
Miller commented:
“In this challenging environment, successful regulatory systems will not be built on simplistic, blunt approaches like ever-increasing tax hikes or blanket prohibitions. Tomorrow’s best-in-class regulation will be evidence-led, outcomes-focused and technology-driven. GamReg Consulting helps clients turn that ambition into regulation that protects consumers, commands industry confidence and works in the real world.”
During his time at the Gambling Commission, Miller led the launch of the Gambling Survey for Great Britain and helped guide reforms connected to the Gambling Act review, including changes to age verification, financial vulnerability checks, and marketing rules. He left the regulator earlier in 2026, with Sarah Fox taking over his role, and also stepped down from his board seat and treasurer position at the Gambling Regulators European Forum.
