FoS gambling sponsorship is coming back

In accordance with the new Caytoo study, the front of T-shirt betting sponsorship is coming back following the fall last year.

Even though, Premier League is thinking about the ban, England’s two hundred and twenty-six teams of football, cricket and rugby have seen the 3rd largest rise in the number of FOS deals.

Thus, the sector presently accounts for almost ten percent of all sponsors, which puts it in 2nd place after the automotive industry (10.5%) and ahead of retail (8.8%).

Gambling companies make up the most FoS football sponsors, with a share of 15.4%, as opposed to claims that Premier League teams are ready to support the ban.

Previously it was decided that England’s top football teams were going to vote whether FoS sponsoring should be forbidden, but due to the current events happening in the government the event was postponed.

Although the PL is accountable for only twenty football clubs in England, Caytoo’s findings are concerned about the general desire of teams for a voluntary ban.

“This is a noticeable comeback to gambling following the share of sponsorship almost divided in two from 2019 to last year. Though in 2022 Rugby and cricket contracts caused a comeback that is going to surprise a lot of people as a publicity on gambling sponsorship of football games. So it is important to know if the Premier League is going to voluntarily ban the sponsorship.”
