French tennis player faces 20-year ban over match-fixing

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced a 20-year ban and $70,000 fine against French tennis player Quentin Folliot over his involvement in 27 breaches of match-fixing.

He must also repay $44,000 in corrupt payments after being found to have committed breaches in the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).

Folliot’s suspension follows a series of such actions taken against other players, including Jaimee Floyd-Angele, Paul Valsecchi, Luc Fomba, Lucas Bouquet, and Enzo Rimoli.

In August 2022, Folliot’s career-high world singles ranking was 488. Between 2022 and 2024, he denied 30 charges linked to 11 tennis matches. The charges varied from contriving the outcome and receiving money for not using best efforts to trading inside information and offering money to other players.

A hearing before an independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer held in October 2025 upheld 27 of the 30 charges.

Officer Amani Khalifa spoke about Folliot:

“A vector for a wider criminal syndicate, actively recruiting other players and attempting to embed corruption more deeply into the professional tours.”

Folliot’s suspension started on May 17, 2024, and will end on May 16, 2044. Until then, he is banned from playing, coaching, or even attending any tennis event authorized by ITIA members.
