GambleAware – which provides treatment services and prevents gambling harm – is launching a new project, Lived Experience Council.

The Council will consist of people who were negatively affected by gambling. They will work with GambleAware and the board to help in the process of creating new strategies

Members will share their stories and support the management and the development of this charity program. With their individual experience they will help the company to lower the percentage of gambling harms in society.

The Council is going to participate in all the board meetings.

“We are committed to everyone who has actually been harmed by gambling and we will make sure that their voices are heard and amplified in all fields of work. The first and important step is that the call for applying for the Lived Experience Council is open. We encourage all the interested people to connect with us.”

stated Z. Osmond, the chief executive officer of GambleAware.

GambleAware is also creating a community of people on everyday work of charity programs.
